what3words
I’m currently working in-house at what3words as a Senior Copywriter, persuading the world to embrace a more precise global addressing system from my desk at ///filled.count.soap.
It’s a big mission with a broad remit. I’ve worked extensively on campaigns, creative testing, video scripts, in-app UX copy, newsletters, push notifications, social content and tone of voice development.
You can find recent examples of my work below.
Campaign: #LocationMatters
Film & TV production crews are heavy what3words users, so we wanted to deepen their use of what3words Pro, our paid-for tier.
With the Oscars and BAFTAs coming up, I spotted a glaring omission: there was no award category for ‘Best Location’ or for location scouts themselves. The solution? what3words makes an award of our own, in partnership with Hollywood location manager Steve Mortimore.

Campaign: Achieve Delivery Zen
When you give a what3words address at checkout, it tells couriers precisely where you want your delivery – whether it’s a front porch, garden gate, or hidden safe space. No stress and no lost parcels.
what3words wanted to educate new and existing users on this stress-busting life hack ahead of the busy holiday shopping period, so I developed a playful campaign that demonstrated the emotional benefits of using what3words at checkout, experimenting with visual AI tools to bring it to life.

what3words Pro launch
In 2025, what3words made the biggest change to its product line-up yet with the launch of a paid-for tier called what3words Pro.
I worked across the launch campaign, writing the landing page, emails, push notifications and FAQs. I also scripted and directed a suite of ‘how to’ videos that demo the new features.

Creative testing
I led the day-to-day creative testing of our performance marketing campaigns.
This involved conceptualising and creating hundreds of creative tests for nine regions, working with in-house designers, editors, and language consultants.
The result was a library of diverse and effective digital ads, optimised across multiple platforms. For our efforts, our small team won an industry award for our outsized impact on the business.
You can see a selection of the ads here.
Helping partners shout about what3words
what3words is used by a growing number of brands, from carmakers using it to offer more precise navigation, to couriers using it to find customers’ front doors.
I was tasked to help these partners encourage their own audiences to make the most of the integrations.
